This is my Oma’s classic chocolate cake recipe. The genius of this recipe is in the boiling water which brings out the flavor of the cocoa powder and makes the cake incredibly moist. A hint of cinnamon adds a subtle complexity to this cake, and swapping out the traditional white flour for full-inclusion adds texture and nuttiness. The chocolate icing is fudgy and decadent and not to be skipped!
